Marie Osmond thrilled her Flamingo Las Vegas audience last night when she and brother Donny Osmond hit the stage to do their show, just one day after the funeral was held for her son Michael Bryan.
The brother and sister duo descended a staircase while singing Aretha Franklin tune “I Knew You Were Waiting For Me”. At one point, Donny told the crowd, “I hope you all appreciate what Marie is going through tonight. The fact that she’s even here … what a strong woman.”
Marie, who dedicated a song to her son, told the crowd: “The way Osmond’s survive is they keep singing. My son would want that.”
“The Lost Boys” star Corey Haim, 38, died this morning of an apparent overdose of prescription medications. The Canadian actor reportedly collapsed in a bathroom and was discovered unresponsive by his mother Judy, who telephoned 911 at 12:53 a.m. from his Southern California apartment. He was pronounced dead at 2:15 a.m. at a Burbank hospital.
Police officers were notified of the death by medical personnel at Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Center at 4 a.m. this morning. LAPD has opened a death investigation that will include an autopsy and toxicology testing according to Coroner’s Lt. Cheryl MacWillie. Police reportedly recovered four prescription bottles near where Haim collapsed.
Haim appeared in 12 movies between 1984-1991 and was best known for his role in “The Lost Boys”. Others included “First Born”, “Secret Admirer”, “Silver Bullet”, “Murphy’s Romance”, and “Lucas”.
He was closely identified for many years with actor Corey Feldman. The two tried to make a comeback in 2007 with their own reality show called “The Two Corey’s”, which aired for two season’s on A&E network.
The April cover of W magazine features a steamy pose by Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler. The 13-page photo shoot, by Steven Klein, took place on a ranch about 45 minutes from Los Angeles. The inside pictorial is called “Speed Trap” and involved some role playing in the California desert.
The couple, who have continually denied any romantic involvement, will hit the big screen on March 19th in “The Bounty Hunter“. The plot involves a bounty hunter, as the film title implies, who learns that his next target is his ex-wife, a reporter working on a murder cover-up. They soon find themselves on a run-for-their-lives adventure.
David Letterman’s extortionist, a former producer for the CBS news program “48 Hours Mystery, pleaded guilty Tuesday to attempting to extort $2 million dollars from Letterman by threatening to reveal affairs with women who worked on his CBS late show.

Robert Halderman reached a deal with prosecutors in which he agreed to plead guilty to attempted grand larceny in exchange for serving six months in jail, performing 1,000 hours of community service and giving up his right to appeal.
In the courtroom, Halderman said, “I have great remorse and sincerely apologize to David Letterman and Stephanie Birkitt. I attempted to extort $2 million from David Letterman.” Halderman called it “a thinly veiled threat.”
Andrew ‘Randy’ Kwasniewski, President and Chief Operating Officer of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, was found dead today, with an apparent self-inflicted gun wound to the head.
Kwasniewski, 55, was discovered in their Las Vegas home by his wife around 9:50 a.m.
The Las Vegas Metro police have launched an investigation but his death is being treated as a suicide.
A spokesperson for the Hard Rock Hotel released this statement, “We are extremely saddened by the loss of Randy, and our hearts and prayers go out to the family. We do not know any further details at this time.”
