Tied for second spot are Nicole Scherzinger and Erin Andrews with 23 points. Scherzinger and her partner Derek Hough performed a vaudeville type skit that got them in hot water with judge Len Goodman, who gave them a 6 for their efforts. Carrie Ann Inaba gave them an 8 and said that she found the performance to be “breathtakingly artistic”. She went on to say, “When you guys take that act on the road, I want a front row seat.” Bruno Tonioli too found voted for its entertainment value and awarded them a 9.
Pamela Anderson, Niecy Nash, Jake Pavelka Aiden Turner and Chad Ochocinco all fell into the middle of the pack with 21’s and 20’s.
At the bottom of the leaderboard and clearly in danger of going home is Buzz Aldrin, the 80 year old astronaut who has shown charm and grace but only managed to score 13 points for his waltz.
The space explorer had some real competition in the cellar again this week from Kate Gosselin, who got a score of 15 and has demonstrated for the third week in a row that she has no dance skills and is not able to get into role play mode. Couple that with the fact that she has chosen costumes that have not played up her only saving grace – her blonde good looks. America should take pity on this woman and vote her home.
Brittany Murphy tragically lost her life at the age of 32 on December 20, 2009. Her death was caused by, “community acquired pneumonia, iron deficiency anemia, and multiple drug intoxication” according to the toxicology results that were released by the L.A. County Coroner.
Murphy left her entire estate to her mother Sharon Murphy. In March, Murphy decided to put the 8,ooo sq. ft. Hollywood Hills home up for sale for $7.25 million. Sharon pulled the house off the market when it became obvious to her that it was now a “tour site” for Brittany’s adoring fans and those just trying to get a glimpse into Murphy’s life.
Brittany’s husband Simon Monjack spoke with TMZ about Sharon’s decision, stating that his mother-in-law felt it was inappropriate to be selling the home when her daughter’s personal possessions were still in it.
President Barack Obama threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Nationals home opener against the Philadelphia Phillies today in Washington D.C. He was wearing a Nationals windbreaker and Chicago White Sox hat — a nod to his beloved hometown team.
The president was greeted with a mixture of boos and applause after emerging from the Nationals’ dugout. His opening pitch turned out to be a floater that came in high and off the plate — no bounce. His catcher was Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman.
Obama stayed for three innings. When he left the D.C. team was leading 1-0. The National League Champion Phillies eventually beat the Washington Nationals 11-1.
