Yale University student Cameron Dabaghi, 21, jumped to his death on Tuesday from the 86th floor of the Empire State Building’s observation deck. The junior from Austin, Texas plunged from the landmark building at 6:15 p.m. on March 30 and crashed onto W. 34th St. as seen in a photo below.

The young man was majoring in East Asian studies and would have graduated in 2011, according to the student newspaper the Yale Daily News. His sister Andrene Dabaghi is also a student at Yale.

A statement by Yale College Dean Mary Miller said, “We are all deeply distressed by this news.”

It is still unclear how Dabaghi got past a 10-foot-high spiked fence ringing the observation deck as seen in the video below. Thirty-four people have jumped to their deaths from the Empire State Building since it opened in 1931.

A witness, Luis Mosquea, described the scene that began with a “sickening thud” in front of the Bank of America. He said, “It was like an explosion. One guy ran over and covered the shattered body with an umbrella. It was crazy.”

The world should probably stop referring to January Gessert as Reggie Bush’s mistress. Both the aspiring singer and the NFL player have vehemently denied any romantic relationship. Reggie took to his Twitter page to claim his innocence stating, “Clarification 4 the dummies aka the media, January is a long time friend of mine & has been dating my best friend for 6 months. Sorry! Lol!”

He later followed up with, “ALL THE LADIES, STEP RIGHT UP! If you would like to be the next person linked to dating Reggie Bush all you gotta do is stand next to him!!!”

Gessert is not pleased with all the drama currently surrounding her and feels that the media is blaming her for the recent breakup of Kim Kardashian and Reggie.

The strictly platonic friend of Reggie Bush has hired lawyer Gloria Allred to represent her. On March 31 they held a press conference to offer clarification. Is it just us or have we seen a lot of the high-profile celebrity lawyer lately? She represents some of the Tiger Woods mistresses, one of Jesse James’ flings and now Reggie Bush’s mistaken mistress. At this rate she will become the official lawyer of the Hollywood mistresses.

Sandra Bullock’s cheating husband Jesse James has voluntarily checked himself into Sierra Tuson, a treatment center that specializes in drug, alcohol and sex addiction, in an effort to save his marriage. Read more here:

But things seem to be going from bad to worse for the serial cheater – the latest news surrounding the scandal is that Sandra plans to file for divorce and the much-talked-about Nazi photo, showing Jesse doing “sieg heil” while wearing an SS officer’s hat, has finally surfaced.

US Weekly reports the photo was taken in 2004, while Jesse and Sandra were dating and that sources close to Jesse say he is “not a neo-Nazi” and that he took the pictures for “shock value.” Michelle ‘Bombshell’’s camp put forth a similar defense for her Nazi pictures yesterday.

Another insider says Jesse is “just a history buff.”

“He had a stepmom whose father lost family in the camps, and they’d talk about it growing up,” the source said. “Jesse’s not a white supremacist.”

The hit FOX reality show American Idol sent Didi Benami packing at the end of Wednesday night’s elimination segment. This was R&B Soul week and she sang “What Becomes of the Brokenhearted”, receiving some decidedly dismal feedback from the judges.

Bitten and Bound’s resident AI expert Danni Starr predicted the demise of Benami, while appearing on FOX 9 Idol Buzz, televised from the Twin Cities and broadcast throughout the Midwest. Way to go Danni! Check it out below.

All is not lost for the 23-year-old from Knoxville, Tennessee. As one of the Top 10 finishers, she earned a coveted spot on the American Idol Summer Tour.

Benami had company in the bottom three last night: Katie Stevens and Tim Urban sweated it out with her but both were eventually given a reprieve and will have another chance. The strongest performances of the week were turned in by Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox. See this weeks top performance videos here.

Next week the remaining nine contestants will be choosing songs from the Lennon McCartney songbook.

Diddy Dirty Money hit the American Idol stage on Wednesday night for the exclusive world premiere of “Hello Good Morning”. According to host Ryan Seacrest, it was the musician’s first AI appearance.

The singer arrived on a staircase dressed all in white, bathed in a light from above with violins and timpani playing. He joined Dawn Richard and Kalenna on stage and provided some instruction to the viewing audience.

Diddy coached, “America, right about now I want you to turn your televisions up and your lights down. And rock with us!” The spectacle included a dazzling 10-second strobe-light effect.
