Breast cancer survivor, actress, singer, activist and mother Sheryl Crow wears many hats. At the young age of 47, Sheryl has joined the cast of the TV show “Cougar Town.”

Crow’s good friend Courteney Cox stars on the ABC hit show. Sheryl will be a regular on CT, cast as the love interest of divorced character Grayson, played by Josh Hopkins. No word yet on when her first appearance will air.

We thought the relationship between DJ Samantha Ronson and troubled actress Lindsay Lohan had come to an end but it looks like their emotions are still running high.

Last Wednesday night the pair were seen out at the same club and it wasn’t pretty. Sources say that the two were fighting so bad that Ronson got hit with a drink in the face — courtesy of her former lover Linday Lohan.

Friends say this isn’t the first time that their fights have turned physical, “One time I saw her (Lindsay) and she had a large welt on her head. She told me Sam beat the (bleep) out of her.”

The Who performed during the Super Bowl XLIV Halftime Show in Miami on Sunday night. Aging musicians Peter Townshend, 64, and Roger Daltrey, 65, had the stage and a massive audience for 12 minutes as they recreated some of their 60’s and 70’s hits amid a laser light show and pyrotechnics display.

Original band member John Entwistle died in 2002 and Keith Moon in 1978. The remaining two members of the group haven’t toured in a while because Townshend is having trouble with his shoulder and his hearing — but he rose to the challenge in last night’s once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform for an audience of 100+ million.

The veteran performers did their best to punk up snippets of “Pinball Wizard”, “See Me”, and longer versions of “Baba O’Riley”, “Won’t Get Fooled Again”, “Who Are You”.

The New Orleans Saints rallied in the second half against the Indianapolis Colts to capture their first Super Bowl victory 31-17. The boldness of coach Sean Payton, 46, and his aggressive play calling led the team to win Super Bowl XLIV, the first ever in the team’s franchise history and the first in Payton’s coaching career.

Named Super Bowl MVP was quarterback Drew Brees, who outdueled Colts quarterback Peyton Manning. Brees tied a Super Bowl record with 32 completions, finishing 32 of 39 for 288 yeards and two touchdowns — both in the second half following a 10-6 deficit at the end of the first half. Check out the amazing performance by The Who during the Super Bowl XLIV Halftime Show here.

After 43 years of futility, Brees insured that nobody questions the Saints ability any longer, delivering one of the finest quarterbacking performance ever delivered in a Super Bowl. He said, “I’m just feeling like it was all meant to be. What can I say? The birth of my son, and in the first year of his life we won a Super Bowl Championship.”

He went on to say, “Eighty-five percent of the city was under water, all the residents evacuated all over the country, people never knowing if they were coming back or if New Orleans would come back. But not only the city came back, and the team came back … when the players got there, we all looked at one another and said, “We’re going to rebuild together. We leaned on each other. This is the culmination of that.”

Brees’ wife Brittany Brees gave birth to their son Braylen Robert Brees on January 15, 2009 — her 30th birthday. The one-year-old is seen in the top photo with his proud father.
